snowdrop, one of first signs of the end of winter

This picture was taken from my room early in the morning when it snowed the night before. Though it was weeks ago, I still remember it brighten up my day. The weather is a lot warmer now. A week ago, my housemate noticed that in our garden there were snowdrops growing in a cluster. Snowdrop is one of first signs of the end of winter. They are really beautiful and often form impressive carpets of white in the landscape.
